Well over 300 attendees visited Biomatic's booth at the annual meeting of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), which attracted exhibitors and attendees from the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia.
BioTrakSM tracks the location of laboratory equipment (both individual instruments or systems and their components) as well as each instrument's service, PM, validation, and calibration. The detailed histories include costs for parts and labor, service summaries, engineer's comments, mileage, and service work time. The program even alerts designated individuals when an instrument's validation will be expiring. Detailed financial information for each instrument, such as book value and depreciation, can also be calculated. And, as with all of Biomatic's services and products, BioTrakSM can be customized to meet each client's specific needs. AAPS attendees were also interested in Biomatic's multi-vendor IQ OQ PQ/PV validation of laboratory instruments. Biomatic has performed IQ OQ PQ/PV validations on more than a thousand analytical systems and temperature-controlled devices such as environmental chambers, freezers, humidity and CO2 incubators, standard and walk-in refrigerators, and ovens across the United States. Our experienced technical chemists validate instruments using real-world testing procedures and NIST / vendor traceable tools and standards. In addition, Biomatic's protocols are customized to meet our client's requirements and, as necessary, GLP/GMP requirements. Our clients include Amgen, Eisai, BASF, Johnson & Johnson, and Bayer. Recently, Biomatic has been selected by Duke Medical Center, HVTN Laboratories, to provide complete IQ, OQ, PQ/PV validation services for a range of laboratory instruments and equipment. The Duke Medical Center HVTN Laboratories is the world-renowned research and testing facility for the AIDS virus (HIV). This center, along with other facilities around the world (www.hvtn.org), is part of the HIV Vaccines Trial Network (HVTN). Biomatic's role in this important mission is to perform IQ, OQ, PQ/PV validation on various storage and testing equipment to verify their suitability and effectiveness under GLP guidelines. Biomatic clients that attended the 2004 AAPS meeting included BASF, Amgen, Chemic, Tedor, and Toxikon. Biomatic's services include:
Biomatic is positioned to assist companies no matter where their labs are located.
