PerkinElmer Launches OneSource®
Laboratory Relocation
Worry-Free,
Total Solution
for All Aspects of Relocation
Regardless of OEM or Scope
WALTHAM, Mass. (Jan. 30, 2007) - PerkinElmer Inc.
(NYSE: PKI), a global leader in Health Sciences and Photonics, today announced
the introduction of its OneSource Laboratory Relocation service designed to
handle the complex and time-consuming burdens laboratories face when moving
equipment from one location to another.
The service is available globally to facilitate the move of
all laboratory equipment regardless of technology or manufacturer.
"OneSource can take care of every aspect of a
relocation to enable scientists to keep their focus on the science," said
Dr. Joseph Tehrani, global business leader, Multi-vendor Validation and
Relocation Solutions, PerkinElmer Life and Analytical Sciences.
"We take away the headaches - from pre-testing and
inspection of equipment before a move through shipping, set-up and
qualification testing." He added that the turnkey relocation service also
encompasses preventive maintenance; moving of chemicals and samples;
transportation; insurance; customs; and installation, qualification and
commissioning at the new location.
"We streamline the process for customers - whether
they're a large pharmaceutical company or a small contract lab," Tehrani
added.
"Customers have a single point of contact, a plan to
minimize downtime, strong communication and realize increased efficiencies
from PerkinElmer's proven approach."
"While any relocation is complex, organizations in
heavily regulated environments, such as pharmaceutical companies, have the
added need to document their process in a very deliberate fashion to ensure
continued compliance," Tehrani said. "That's no simple task,
particularly when working with customized equipment from multiple vendors. Our
experts remove this burden, enabling customers to focus on the pace and
precision of their research and testing."
